As of May 2018, we are raising money and accepting donations to fund a research project on Cerebral Palsy (CP) at the Department of Neuroscience, Biomedicine and Movement Sciences, University of Verona, Italy. The project proposes a top-down approach to study neuromuscular fatigue in children and adolescents diagnosed with spastic CP, a pathology with a relevant prevalence which leads to motor disorders since the first few years of life. Better insights into the neurophysiological and metabolic mechanisms of muscle function in spastic CP would help upgrade individual therapy programs and refocus the current paradigms on treating neuromuscular deficits.
