To open new fields of investigation
GLIA NEUROSCIENCE ONLUS is a nonprofit organization that provides support to open new fields of investigation in science and technology. Focus and efforts are dedicated to funding high risk and explorative neuroscience projects of particular social relevance, as well as to promoting collaborative relationships between research groups and disseminating scientific information to the public.

CP project

We are currently raising money and accepting donations to fund a research project on Cerebral Palsy (CP) at the Department of Neuroscience, Biomedicine and Movement Sciences, University of Verona, Italy. The project proposes a top-down approach to studying neuromuscular fatigue in children and adolescents diagnosed with spastic CP, a pathology with a relevant prevalence that leads to motor disorders since the first few years of life. Better insights into the neurological and metabolic mechanisms of muscle function in spastic CP would help upgrade individual therapy programs and refocus the current paradigms on treating neuromuscular deficits.
